A New World Economy – Getting Your Piece of The Pie

by Kathy on November 21, 2010

A new world economy is unfolding, one in which average people will have the chance to get a piece of the pie. The status quo, a system where wealth has been reserved for corporation owners and top management, is beginning to crumble.

None of us are oblivious to what’s happening in the corporate world today. The “Big C” has become overrun by greed, dishonesty, and arrogance. Loyalty to employees is a thing of the past, and millions of once safe employees have been left out in the cold, unemployed, hopeless, broke, and broken.

Many of us who choose to see challenges as opportunities for growth, and problems as God’s way of showing us what He wants us to improve, have come to believe that we are in the midst of a new world economy, one in which average people from every walk of life, in any country, will have the chance to get a piece of the pie.

In his book The Next Millionaires, Paul Zane Pilzer predicted that between the years of 2006 and 2016, over ten million new millionaires will be created. A great majority of these will build their fortunes not as CEOs of large corporations, entertainers, or professional athletes, but in the network marketing industry.

This is a paradigm shift that will bring about a redistribution of wealth, a new world economy in which goods and services will be sold from person to person, neighbor to neighbor – rather than from money hungry corporations to faceless consumers. The shift is happening. Network marketing, once looked upon by many with suspicion, is becoming more and more common and accepted. Most people are waking up to the fact that this marketing model is NOT a scam, a pyramid, or a Ponzi scheme.

Of course, as in any industry, there will always be a handful of people who will try to profit through deception, and those seeking to join a network marketing company are well advised to do their due diligence.

A few of the factors that have helped to popularize the network marketing industry include:

  1. Well known financial experts, including Donald Trump, Robert Kiyosaki, and Paul Zane Pilzer are advocating network marketing as the best method for average people to get a piece of the pie and create wealth
  2. Social media techniques and online marketing have made the world a much smaller place, helping to attract  potential business partners and customers from all areas of the world
  3. Systems have begun to appear that are bringing many network marketers tremendous success

I truly believe we are not doomed or destined to live in fear and poverty. I believe we are on the brink of a new world economy, one that will be largely driven by the network marketing industry, one that will offer average people the opportunity to prosper and live in abundance. Nothing has been lost, and there is everything to gain.

Well Kathy you absolutely nailed it. People are staring to wake-up and realize they can create a better life for themselves by doing it themselves. If only our leaders would start speaking up more (some of them are) about people taking control of their lives and network marketing is clearly the path. Thanks for a great post.

Hi Kathy,

This is a topic that I love, love, love! The advent of a shift in perception of commerce and the empowerment of the individual. We all have a duty to ourselves, as human beings, to provide for ourselves but I fear that as we have all been educated to become employees, until recent times, we have been led around by the oligarchal corporation, who have slowly been twisting the thumb screw as a whole (a perfect example of which is the minimum wage in the UK rising by 2.5% but inflation is at arounnd 4.3%, meaning all involved are worse off).
I do feel sorry for poor old Henry Ford, as he gets blamed for the employee culture as the supposed owner of the first production line, but once upon a time we were all pretty much entrepreneurs in the form of grocers, butchers etc.
I love that the tide is turning back again and that technology is helping too, in the form of the internet (I am a true nerd btw lol).
So, I salute all that are entrepreneurs, and all those who are starting their journey!

Vive la Resistance lol

Of course, Kathy, you . . . and the successful entrepreneurs you cite are absolutely correct in describing the new pathway to success and wealth.

Network marketing, however, does have a bad rep to overco, me, and new network marketers must be very, very careful in selecting products that they KNOW are valuable to people — products that will help them live better lives, overcome personal challenges, and support them in achieving dreams and goals.

Is this easy to determine?

My feeling is that if something really works well for me then I can definitely sell it to others, especially others whom I care about.

I’m happy to be living in this present time that’s full of opportunities. In the past months I have been working hard to find ways to get that share of the pie, and I can feel that in the coming days, every effort that I made will be paid off. :-)

Kathy,

There is nothing better than waking up each morning as an entrepreneur. You have the power to decide if and how you are going to be successful each day rather than leaving that choice up to a boss or an employer. I am not in Network Marketing, but I do see the power it has for individual entrepreneurs to create wealth. Regardless of the business model you are involved in, life as a business owner is the way to go!

Kathy,
Dave and I so agree with all you are saying here in this empowering post! Thanks for sharing the truth that so many people have no clue about yet.

Paul Zane Pilzer is sure the expert to learn from in this area. We love his book The Next Millionaires. Who couldn’t feel like they’ve found a solution that can work for them after reading his book and your post. There is so much opportunity out there and with some due diligence you can find the one that you can truly feel passionate about.

Thanks for adding another rung of strength to our ladder to success and again, let’s continue to share this key to abundance with all who will listen.

Love this post. I couldn’t agree more with everything you said, Kathy! I do believe that it will take a while to clean up the perception of network marketing in the eyes of the masses, but from conversations I’ve had these past few years, the shift is definitely in progress. I think as the economy and everything people believed to be real continues to collapse, people become more open to looking through a different lens.

Yes it takes work ~ probably more work on YOURSELF than most other professions out there ~ but just like you said, network marketing is one place that definitely offers average people a place to prosper and live in abundance. So true. Thanks Kathy!

Hi Kathy!

Oh what a wonderfully empowering post!

Gosh, well, certainly something has to happen with the economy!!! It’s just not sustainable and more and more people are loosing faith in the system.

Network marketing has a bad name but has changed so much in it’s lifetime… everyone in my ‘real life’ thinks I’m an absolute loon for even considering it as a career choice but luckily there are lots of people in my online world that believe in the same thing and that helps tons!!

Thanks for a fabulous post – I believe in what you say!

All the best,

Emma :-)

Kathy,
What you’re saying makes a lot of sense and your authority quotes seem pretty reputable. Overall, I’m happy to know that there will be a redistribution of wealth potentially, as it’s a little too greedy at the top right now.
Thanks for sharing,

You’re right Kathy,
The network marketing industry is exploding as people aren’t buying from traditional businesses as much. I look for people that sells products I need but make sure they are network marketers. This way I support people that have a drive to work with professional people who want to help their employees instead of bring them down. So many people in the corporate world want to make their co workers look bad so they can be next in line for the next promotion. But yea, heads are turning for sure. Thanks for posting this helpful information on the future of business.

Hi Kathy, I think it’s wonderful that we are living in a time with so many opportunities for personal growth and financial freedom. It is great to know that we each individually have what it takes to be able to create an abundant future for ourselves and our families because of the shift from Corporate America/Big Corporations to that of Network Marketing, and that anyone can now make it to the top, and all without having to have all that was once required (such as a large amount of capital to get started or college degree, etc.). :-) Christine

Kathy:

I always enjoy reading your blog posts. I learn something each time. This time, you gave me a new insight into how to view problems. I never really thought of them as “God’s way of showing us what He wants us to improve”. I really like that paradigm. It makes so much sense and helps me feel more confident in facing a challenge. If God wants me to improve in this area, He will absolutely back me up in my growth.

Thanks so much for this. Live with passion and purpose,

Kathy, great post and I must say when reading it I was smiling because I had a conversation a few weeks back and said something very similar, hey I guess we are think alike. :-)
Opportunities are every where bad economy or not. People need to seek those opportunities some have the eye for it and some just walk straight by, but one can show them where to find it.
We as the so called online entrepreneur don’t seem to be effected by it because of our mindset and the ability to find the good opportunities even if it seems everything around us is crumbling like a week old cookie.

Hey Debbie, you’re spot on when you summarise the changing dynamics of international commerce and marketing, and the change is actually much much broader and too complex in scope to even put it down in writing.

Even network marketing itself is changing this very instant because of the internet and I believe people in the know are the ones who’ll reap the rewards. Of course, the current financial system also will churn out big profits for people who truly understand what they do.

Kathy, you zeroed in on a key thought when you wrote, “I truly believe we are not doomed or destined to live in fear and poverty.” You are correct for we read in the New Testament these words, “For God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of POWER, of LOVE and of SELF-DISCIPLINE.” These are the exact things we need to be successful in this fantastic business of direct selling. Hope is in our hands.

Thanks for this very inspiring post.

I agree with you. We are about to see a new set of dynamics take over. When you think about it social media has brought the old fashioned word of mouth type of relationship to the internet. So, we are going back to a tested and true mechanism of the neighborhood, only your neighborhood is now the entire globe! Pretty amazing when you think about it.
