An Attitude of Gratitude

by Kathy on November 26, 2009

It’s Thanksgiving evening and I’m sitting here back home from spending the day at my brother’s house. It was the perfect day, mid 70’s, sunny – absolutely beautiful. As always, the food was bountiful. We were surrounded by family and friends. Everyone was healthy and happy. Love and joy were in the air.

This is traditionally a day when we take the time to have an attitude of gratitude, when we reflect on all of the blessings we have and allow the joy of total appreciation into our hearts. It brings out the best in everyone around us, and problems seem to disappear.

My message is that each and every day, whether it’s Thanksgiving or not, we have the choice to live in gratitude and to spread joy and love. Life can be good every day, it’s all a matter of how we look at it.

A couple of months ago I sat down and recorded a video on just this subject…..thought it would be a great day to post it here for you.

I’d love to hear what you’re grateful for not only on this special day, but every day – please leave your comments below. I’m grateful for you!

Kathy,
I love this post. Having an attitude of gratitude is one of the most powerful things that we as entrepreneurs can do for ourselves and our business. When you are grateful you open up the storehouse of the universe to untold abundance.

By keeping an attitude of gratitude over whatever it is that you have in life it truly does attract additional prosperity to you. I don’t know why this works…. it just does.

Keep on rocking with this fantastic blog Kathy!!

Wonderful post Kathy!

We all need to realize that it’s not all about what we don’t have but be grateful for what we do. Even though I seem to forget from time to time, I use the stepping out of bed thing using the “THANK (left foot) and YOU (right foot) as I get up. It’s not 100% of my daily routine but it does make you appreciate what you have when doing it.

Thank you for sharing this and Dawn and I are GRATEFUL for having you in our lives!

Hi Kathy, I’m grateful for having you as a friend and for my family and the list would go on and on and I would run out of space to type.

I really appreciate my running water and electricity too. When I was 12 years old our well went dry and we had to get on a waiting list before we could have city water, that was a long 2 months. I remember taking gallon milk containers and filling them up at the gas station so we could take a stand up bath.

The day we had water again, it was like we struck oil.

Thank you for sharing your attitude of gratitude post and video.
