Kathy–you are sooo right! A blog is a must have! You have a wonderful blog–full of great information and inspiration. It really does brand you as a leader and allows people to get to know who you are and what you stand for.

I couldn’t agree more. Blogging, to me, is the most self-actualizing activity I have undertaken since being an online-entrepreneur. I my opinion, a blog is not just our home on the internet, it’s a tool for self-expression, coaching, and the like. I love the fact that you have the courage to put yourself out on video. I totally agree with your point. When we really put our hearts into blogging we soon realize that the real payoff is in providing service and value to others. Rather than trying to use our blogs to make a quick buck, those of us who reach out to help others through our blogs are able to build incredible relationships and trust with our readers and fellow bloggers that can be priceless.

Hey Kathy, Great points for those on the fence who haven’t started blogging yet!

A blog is your home online and the benefits from personal branding to personal growth by committing to one is enormous.

It does take some work yes, but it pays off tremendously. I think that a lot of bloggers starting out want to figure out how to make money ‘from’ their blog.

But you can almost see it like writing a book: You don’t always make money ‘from’ it, but rather ‘because’ of it. Depending on your marketing strategy of course.

All good points, Kathy. Your blog is a great example of how to create and use a blog. I think of my blog as a place where I can really go in depth into things that I want to share with people. Twitter and Facebook are great for connecting with people, but its difficult explore more deeply into areas of interest in those venues. A blog gives you more freedom to express yourself, which is perhaps the #1 reason to have one.
