Dr. Wayne Dyer Power of Intention – Kindness Lessons

by Kathy on April 6, 2010

Dr. Wayne Dyer Power of Intention
The Power of Kindness

In his life altering book The Power of Intention, Dr. Wayne Dyer shares with us 7 principles of living that will help each of us to remain connected to Intention and live the lives we were meant to live. These are:

  • Be Creative
  • Be Kind
  • Be Love
  • Be Beauty
  • Be Ever Expansive
  • Be Abundant
  • Be Receptive

The lesson to be learned in The Power of Intention is that each of us is born with pure, positive Intention. In every moment of our lives we are given the choice to remain connected to that Intention, which I personally believe is the spirit of God that resides within us, or to allow our egos to dominate the choices we make.

It is in remaining connected to the power of intention, denying the ego, that we ultimately come to live in peace, abundance, and joy, which in turn affects our loved ones and the world around us.

This post is by no means meant to be a complete review of the Dr. Wayne Dyer Power of Intention book; I may do that at another time.  Here I focus mainly on what I personally have found to be one of the most important components of remaining connected to Intention, that of kindness.

Be sure to check out the video above, and let me know how the story I share has touched your heart.

Love the back ground and since Dr. Dyer is one of my favorite authors I would naturally enjoy your post as well. Intention sets the tone for the rest of our lives if lived in the moment of every day. Creating space to dream of the possibilities sets those intentions into motion. We don’t need to concern ourselves with how it will be accomplished, only that we are ready to receive when it’s time. Thank you for sharing the tidbits of wisdom Kathy.

Great post Kathy! Like you mentioned, our natural state is one of great intentions and as we grow older many people are conditioned to get away from them. Thanks for the reminder of how to get back to our roots. It is such a powerful thing.

Very touching Kathy.
We do think alike, I actually have been listening to Wayne Dyer everyday on my husband’s old cassette tapes since the CD player in my car broke. That was an awesome story. Thanks!

Hi Kathy, thank you for sharing this – I love Dr. Dyer and have read several of his other books but haven’t picked this one up yet. It looks like a great read. I think you are right – where your intentions lie is a choice we continually make each and every day. We need to be careful to choose the good intentions – kindness, love, abundance….thanks for the reminder!

I absolutely love Dr. Wayne Dyer. I’ve read Excuses ‘Begone twice and just started reading this one. I love the 7 principles in this book. I can’t wait to get more into it. Choosing these 7 key principles as a way to live your life can just move you upward and onward!!!

Thanks for the great commentary. Sorry to have interrupted you with a phone call during your video :) It came out great anyhow!!

Kathy,
Great post! I haven’t read any of Dr. Wayne Dyer’s works yet, but I sure will now quite soon. Thanks so much for your sincere recommendation!
Yes, I also was very touched by the story of Shaya. If we can all act toward others as those 18 boys did for Shaya, the world would be such a peaceful and caring place. It sure makes you think and want to be kind to everyone.
What a great background for your video as well! Is that your backyard? How beautiful!

Great post Kathy.

I believe that we are all pure possibility! With God ALL things are possible. It is up to us to choose our intention that will decide the course of our life and the amount of God given possibility that will be reveled to us to experience. Thanks so much for sharing this. Dr. Wayne Dyer is a great man with amazing wisdom for us all to learn from.

Make it a great day!
God Bless,

Hi Kathy,
As the mother of a 10 year old Little Leaguer, the story you shared was especially touching. I see God in every boy’s face on Ben’s team and in every game I watch. Every year, I look forward to the spring when baseball season starts so I can share the joy of these boys playing a sport they love. Connecting with parents and coaches who I have known over the years has also been such a gift. Dr. Dyer really understands the power of the Spirit, where it lives, and how we can tap into it…if we are receptive.
Thanks for starting off my morning in a beautiful way!
