Mike Dillard, world renowned Internet genius, has just broken out of his traditional role as an online marketing guru and created The Elevation Group. If you’ve seen the 90 minute video you’re probably having one of the following thoughts:
- Has Mike Dillard totally lost it? What’s with all the gloom and doom, he must be out of his mind.
- I’ve heard more and more predictions about the impending collapse of our economy, maybe I should take this seriously.
- OMG everything Mike Dillard says makes 100% sense. Time to take immediate action.
I have no desire to tell you what you should think about The Elevation Group or what actions you should take or not take. But I do want to tell you that my reaction has been a profound belief that Mike Dillard has stepped up to share information with you and me which could mean economic salvation for us. Let me tell you a little story that will help you to understand why I am taking the advice shared in The Elevation Group video to heart….
I have a neighbor named Brian. Brian is a high school history teacher, and he is very, very focused on world economics. Over the last several years, he has been talking to everyone who will listen to him – warning them that they will lose everything they have if they don’t take his financial advice.
His outlook is very bleak and depressing. Just one look at Brian, and you can see that he carries the worries of the world on his shoulders. He speaks of conspiracies, a future where our children will be literally starving, a world of total chaos and disorder.
If you know me you know that I’m a faith based person. I choose not to live in worry and fear (which, after all, is the opposite of faith). I tend to give my attention to ideas that resonate with me, and to trust the world. Herein has lied my problem.
Every single thing that Brian has told me has made complete sense. I know this man is very intelligent, and he spends a great deal of time researching the information he shares with others but honestly, but the methods he has used to get his message across have left me wondering if maybe he is just a bit of a paranoid lunatic. Even though my head has been telling me for years that I should follow his advice, the emotional turmoil that this has all created has left me in a state of inaction.
When I saw The Elevation Group video produced by Mike Dillard, I knew without a doubt that this information was not only NOT lunatic rantings, but quite possibly the most important, potentially life changing information that has been released to the public. Every single point that Mike Dillard goes over in his video is something that I have heard at one time or another from Brian. The only difference is that it is now coming from someone that I consider to be a more credible source.
The Elevation Group video is not an attempt to tell people what they should do and again, I would never try to advise you on what could be the most important decision you could ever make as to the future you will create. I do want to share with you, though, some of the advice that Brian has given me over the years. Every one of these tips made sense to me but required me to take actions that seemed much too drastic.
- 5 or 6 years ago he advised me to buy gold….we all know what has happened to gold prices since then
- 4 years ago he told me I should sell my house and rent…..soon after the housing market crashed
- over the last few years he has consistently advised me to take the penalties, pay the taxes, and cash in my 401Ks
Guess what his advice has been over the last 3 years? You guessed it….buy silver! Hmmm….I wonder if he knows Mike Dillard personally?
Brian, if you ever happen upon this blog post, please accept my apologies for being one of the naysayers who have refused to take your advice, as well as my humble appreciation for planting the seeds in my mind that will grow into a fruitful harvest. And Mike, thank you for having the courage and compassion to share this with the world.
I would love to hear what you think about The Elevation Group, the potential of an economic collapse, and whether or not you plan to buy silver based on this information….lunatic ramblings, something to think about, or prophetic salvation????
P.S. If you haven’t checked out Mike Dillard’s video introducing The Elevation Group be sure to click here and take a look.

Aloha Kathy,
I love that story about your neighbor and I love how you are always so transparent and willing to share your true stories here on your blog! You are truly very special and you will have huge success as you “follow your heart”.
What do I think? Well I’ve been a huge Robert Kiyosaki fan from the time I started my home business in 1995 and I have kept up with all of his books and seminars since. When I saw Mike putting together a “tribe” which would work together to basically apply Robert’s principles and more, I was in!
I believe in mastermind groups and tribes as they have helped me so much throughout my career. That’s how you and I met Kathy!
Also, I love numbers and I am fascinated with strategies and understanding the economy (I’m and Econ & Stats major..heehee), so for me this was a perfect fit! I have started to review the videos and it is absolutely fascinating and the right decision for me. I am so excited to be associated with a group of people who feel the same way about Robert Kiyosaki’s teachings as I always have.
I’m excited that you are in it too Kathy! Looking forward to masterminding with you on EVG too!
Much aloha,

Kellie

Hello great post. I could not agree more with you about faith.. While what is being says makes sense I am not going to live in a state of worry . I am walking by faith and not by sight.
I enjoyed Mike Dillard’s information on the economy; however, I was aware of most of the things he address in this presentation. I study the market and track different stocks. However, I don’t think we need to be scared or worry about our future. I do have faith in our future because of my belief in Jesus Christ. It’s important to be educate yourself in regards to economy and financial market worldwide. I feel Mike Dillard found a niche to help educate those that are in need to learn more of the trick the wealth people use to keep their wealth. I feel it was good information that people should take out the time to student the history of the market. The seven stages of our economy he cover was excellent. Most people in the Network Marketing industry are struggling and most don’t have a clue how to set up a business from home. Setting up a business from home has to deal with Sales, Marketing, Personal activity, Business Activity (Time management),Leadership, and Financial Management. Mike Dillard is a smart business man who found a niche to educate and share financial resources that can help other build wealth. Yes, I know he’s making money off of The Elevation Group members. It’s a good way some people will be able to build and connect with like mind people. I was blessed 7 years ago I had clients like Magic Johnson, Russell Simmons, and many more… That open my eyes to new way of life flying on private jets and learning more about financial matters. This might be a great blessing for those who are seeking for the information.

Isn’t always the presentation that matters? Your neighbor knew what he was talking about, but you couldn’t hear it because of the presentation. Sad. And a lesson we should all apply to our own lives and businesses.
Thank you for sharing, Kathy. The open-hearted way you share is so refreshing.
Kathy,
Now you were ready to listen to some advice that before seemed way out there & uncomfortable. I haven’t seen the video, but you’ve given a clearer picture of what he speaks of. So glad you choose to share your thoughts on financial balance and security.

I also viewed Mike D’s video(2x in fact)…this kind of info. has always fascinated me & in the last year I had made friends with an airline Pilot who schooled me on the very things Dillard was sharing. I have begun to move some(not all) of my assets over to Gold & Silver. I think we must all prepare, in simple terms our Govt. can not ‘keep throwing $$’ (LOL creating Cash) to take care of debt,,,That to me is just common & basic economic sense…Yet at the same time if we will have the awareness & courage there will be great opportunity ahead for us in the next few years,,,so I choose like You to have an Attitude of Faith & Gratitude.

Kathy, I wouldn’t kick myself for not believing your neighbour, if I were you. The presentation really can get in the way of the message. THAT is a good lesson to learn, if we’re in business for ourselves!
As Val said, you were ready to hear the advice when Mike Dillard presented it. And your neighbour did, after all, lay the groundwork for Mike.

This has been a topic of conversation between us for a while now and I really need to get in and learn about it. I have a tendency to stick my head in the sand when I don’t understand things. It’s just easier sometimes
Thanks for the reminder. I’m going to figure this thing out, with your help!!!
Hi Kathy,
I definitely think there’s validity in what Mike shared and my hubby and I have been fans of Robert Kiyosaki too. We attended a free seminar in 2007 and he was talking about buying gold/silver which we did. He even joked that he predicted the money crash so many times but he’ll keep trying. I think the gold/silver goes in opposite direction w/the stock and from what I’ve read on The Economist and The Street and many other financial places which I’m a fan of is that commodies are usually short term investments because the stocks always outperform gold/silver overtime. Of course, this is just one of many polar views when it comes to gold vs. inflation of the dollar. I’m sure EVG is more than just investing in gold/silver but that was the gist of the video and the importance of diversification.
BTW: I think financial literacy is important for everyone whether you’re a fan of EVG or not.
Thank you for sharing,
Janette Stoll
I have found all the information in EVG spot on. Mike Dillard always puts out quality information and I for one intend on implementing exactly what he’s teaching in the EVG!

Kathy,
Mike Dillard has opened alot of peoples eyes with information that like your friend has been sharing for a while. It is great that he has the ability to move people to at least take a look at what can be something that can change a person finances for their families for the better. I am studying and listening carefully as we all should.
Thanks

Kathy,
Assuming that the world continues as it has been and we are faced with a severe recessions or depression, buying silver and gold makes sense. However, if the disasters that have been predicted by ancient writings such as Nostradamus do, in fact, come to pass, then having silver or gold or any other valuable precious metal will not help. If resources become scarce, having money may not make a difference.
The rich and the poor may have to stand together on bread lines.
But I choose not to think of doom and gloom but rather to focus on dreams and goals, intentions and spiritual consciousness. In that realm, all is well, whether or not I have invested wisely in worldly goods.

Kathy, This is an interesting post in itself but an underlying piece is the whole idea around listening to and acting on information from people we know, like, and trust. I have seen the ads for Mike’s group and ignored them as new hype. However, because you put together this post, it give me pause. Perhaps I should look into it more…thanks for the tipoff.
Nice work.

I haven’t listened to the presentation but I do believe that Mike Dillard would have a very inside perspective on what is really going on here. I like you work out of faith that God is in control no matter what happens but we also have a part in the process we have to act on information and insight we are given. A great quote I heard God has given us water and the ingredients to make soap but he has never given me a bath.

Hello There My Friend!
Yes, it has been hard to absorb all the doom and gloom, but it does seem like there is something worth investigating. Having been the lawyer for MANY rich people, I can tell you that they used many strategies that were not available to regular people.
I like to keep my finger on the pulse of things, so I did subscribe to EVG. I’ll see you there.

Hi Kathy,
Interesting post. During my life I have always heard about apocalyptic definitions from all type of people:” The end of the world approaches”, “we all are going to lose everything”,” we are going to be poor soon”, “if you do not follow my advice you will be doomed” etc.
Perhaps Mike Dillard is telling the truth. However, we are intelligent living beings and we should always apply our common sense and if we are not savvy in the subject is a matter of getting a book and learn about it.
The economy would collapse only if people stop spending their money. Why? Because this kind of behavior make capital flow stop and without capital flow they will not be employments and business will fail etc etc. So when someone comes and tells every body : “Hey do not spend you money because I predicted a recession then all people stop spending and they create the recession so the guy telling everybody to stop spending their money is the one who initiates the economical failure.”
So I prefer listening to people like Mike Dillard and take what I have missing in my theories then draw my own conclusions. It is a matter of thinking about this people is talking about. These are just my thoughts. Good share!
