Do you like the color purple? Personally, I love it, which leads me to the message I want to share with you.
Blue is known to be the color that best conveys professionalism, and for about 2 minutes I considered it for the main color scheme in my blog. But, I like the color purple…..it’s fun, it’s soothing, it’s kinda funky – a little like me!
Some people might be turned off by this unusual choice and immediately click away from my site….that’s OK. There are plenty of people that will find my color selection inviting and attractive. You’re still here, right?
Not only do I love the shade, but The Color Purple movie is one of my all time favorites. Adapted from the book The Color Purple by Alice Walker, the movie features Oprah Winfrey – an amazing role model and advocate for the personal growth movement.
My point is that there are plenty of cookie cutter blogs & websites & people out there that work hard at conforming to the norm, and I’m sure many of them are successful. But in order to go beyond success we need to stand up, be heard, and be true to our authentic selves. It is in doing so that we separate ourselves from the crowd and unleash a part of the Divine that lies within each of us.
So, believe in what you love, be true to yourself, don’t worry about what others will think of you – and you’ll be in perfect alignment with the Universe. Greatness will be yours!
